Mechanical Engineering is the backbone of innovation and industrial progress, bridging science and technology to create solutions that shape the modern world. The Department of Mechanical Engineering at our institute was established in 2010 with a vision to produce industry-ready professionals who excel in technical expertise and innovative thinking.
Our Department is powered by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty, with a focus on nurturing globally competent professionals, the Department has established state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with the latest technologies and machineries. The curriculum is enriched with practical, hands-on training and designed to align with current industry standards and technological advancements.
The Department is dedicated to CAD/CAM, simulation and design projects, complemented by a well-equipped project lab exclusively for final-year students to work on innovative projects. Specialized training programs are available in areas such as CNC Programming, CAD/CAM and CATIA with dedicated labs featuring industry-standard software and hardware tools.
To make the curriculum more engaging and competitive, the Department organizes a variety of co-curricular activities, such as workshops, seminars and industrial visits. We have established hobby clubs and technical forums at both the institute and department levels to foster holistic development.
The Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA) actively conducts events, and the Department houses student chapters of professional bodies like SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers)
These bodies regularly organize state and national-level competitions, including paper presentations, project exhibitions and design challenges. Workshops and training sessions cover cutting-edge topics like Industry 4.0, 3D Printing, Renewable Energy. With a focus on academic rigor, hands-on experience and industry interaction, the Department of Mechanical Engineering aims to shape future engineers who will drive technological advancements and contribute to societal growth.
